Use HMC
and Turn Your Network Monitoring Tool Notices into
Tickets
One very good
way to put HEAT Messaging Center (HMC) to use is to have
it listen to your network monitoring tool. Use any
network monitoring tool that sends emails. But instead
of having the monitoring tool notify you, why not have
it also send the email to HMC?

HMC can
convert it into a ticket and assign it to you or the
appropriate assignee, based on any information
available. HMC can ignore low priority notifications
and only capture high priority notifications if you
want. The possibilities are virtually endless.
Finally, from there, go a little further and have
BPAM track this automatic ticket to make sure it
doesn't fall through the cracks!
