FrontRange Discovery 9

FrontRange announced the recent release of FrontRange Discovery 9.  Below are the new features and information on how SMA can help you upgrade.
 

FrontRange Discovery 9 is a very powerful network audit solution capable of automatically finding and auditing hardware and software right across the corporate network - no matter what it is or where it is located.  If you are customer who is current on support and maintenance you are entitled to upgrade your installation to this latest version at no additional cost.

FrontRange Discovery 9 features include:

• Discovery & audit of virtual IT assets, including hardware & software

• Auditing of Thin Client hardware & software, including usage tracking

• New audit platforms, including Windows 7, Windows Server 2008,
  Mac OSX 10.5 & 10.6, etc.

• New server platforms, including Windows 2008

• Greynet Software Reporting now part of the core Discovery product

• Improved ability to audit & communicate across corporate networks

Before upgrading, SMA recommends downloading the 'Upgrading to Discovery 9' document, which outlines the criteria and procedures for a successful upgrade, and also viewing the specific details on upgrading from previous releases of Discovery.  This information, along with the upgrade version of FrontRange Discovery 9, can be found on the myCentennial support site.  Look under 'Downloads' to find the actual upgrade software.
