HEAT Asset Tracker (HAT) is an IT asset management solution module for the HEAT software help desk suite. With HEAT Asset Tracker, you can manage desktops, laptops, software licenses, scanners, printers and any other IT asset owned or leased by your organization.  HAT also lets you scan your network for the devices you want to manage.  HEAT Asset Tracker is integrated with the HEAT software application.  When you log an incident you can determine at a moment's notice what your caller's IT assets consist of.  And you can incorporate those assets directly into the HEAT call ticket for review at a later time, all of which improves the efficiency of your IT help desk or support center.

HEAT Asset Tracker is priced on the basis of the number of scannable assets, or computers and servers with an IP address.  You purchase HAT based on the number
of scannable IT assets, but you receive, at no extra charge, 5 times that number of
"non-scannable" assets, such as monitors, keyboards, or whatever you want to manage!

Key Features of HEAT Asset Tracker

  • Assets Scanning - The InfraTools Desktop Discovery (IDD) system is a powerful desktop scanning tool that captures reliable data about hardware and software assets.
  • IT Asset Details - Lists all assets for a user and information is sorted by hardware, software (known and unknown) changes and favorites (a customizable category).  Launched from either Call Logging or Tracking Manager.
  • Change Log - Change log information is listed in reverse chronological order and sorted by date. It shows what asset information has been added, removed or changed for an IT asset since the previous scan.
  • Integration with HEAT Software - The Asset Details module allows HEAT technicians to quickly and easily access IT asset information for a customer during an IT support call.  This information can be customized so the technician can place information in a favorites folder.  A click of a button transfers the data back to the call ticket.
  • Tracking Manager - This module allows IT Administrators to view and manage all IT assets in the organization throughout their lifecycle.  Functionality includes easy, pre-defined queries, reports, customizability and ability to export data, send users emails and open a call ticket in HEAT help desk software.
  • IT Asset Summary - This fully-customizable screen provides a snapshot of current asset information including software license status and alerts the administrator when warranties and leases may be coming due.
  • Asset Activities - A selection of activities essential to managing IT assets, including: Move/Add/Change, Asset Information, Lease tracking, Warranty Tracking, Cost Tracking, Upgrades, Service and Add and Asset.
  • IT Asset Management Reports - A set of 25 standard management reports using Crystal Reports is included.  Additional custom reports can be created.
