Course Description
For years many HEAT users and their managers have struggled with the daunting task of running reports that require typing a date into the report parameter fields.  During this eClass, we will demonstrate the concepts behind why canned reports require this.  More importantly we will show you how to convert your reports to use a date picker by demonstrating the process within Crystal Reports Designer.  The result will be a satisfying click to choose the date from a date pop-up, instead of typing the date in the parameter.

This eClass includes solid concepts about basic HEAT and Crystal reporting functionality, more specifically the date picker function.  Documentation will be sent out afterwards including screenshots illustrating what was covered in the presentation.

What Will Be Covered:

• HEAT Fields - Why does HEAT store its dates the way it does
• Answer Wizards Reports - Where they are located and how they function within Answer Wizard and Call Logging.
• Crystal Reports Designer - How to connect and modify existing canned reports.
• Crystal Functionality - How to change the existing date prompt to a date picker.
• Testing - We want to save the report and test it in its original environment.

Prerequisite

• Familiarity of HEAT, Answer Wizards Reports and very minimal Crystal Reporting skills is needed.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports Designer version 9.  The instructor will be using Crystal Reports version 11.
