The SMA Approach to Upgrades
SMA's
Upgrade Consulting Packages follow these
Best Practices to ensure a smooth and seamless
transition:
1. Conduct
Infrastructure and Planning Discussion
– SMA technicians will meet with your HEAT or network
administrator to obtain a better understanding of your HEAT environment,
discuss the tasks involved for a successful upgrade and
will provide an educated outline approach.
2. Perform
Upgrade on Test System
– SMA will perform a test upgrade on your HEAT Archive
File offsite at either our SMA facility or on your own
test system. The test will help validate the data
conversion and
help mitigate potential upgrade issues.
3. Perform
Standard Functionality Testing on Test Upgrade
Database
– SMA developed a protocol for evaluating the
basic functionality of the test HEAT database.
4. Assist
with Production Upgrade
– Once planning and testing is complete, SMA’s HEAT certified technicians will assist with the
HEAT upgrade installation on
your current system.
5. Provide
Availability for Post Upgrade Assistance
– If any ssues arise after the conversion, SMA technicians
will be available to provide ongoing assistance.
