Upgrades - The SMA Approach
SMA's
Upgrade Consulting Packages follow these
Best Practices to ensure a smooth and seamless
transition:
1. Conduct
Infrastructure and Planning Discussion
– SMA technicians meet with your HEAT or network
administrator to understand your HEAT environment,
discuss the tasks involved and outline the upgrade
approach.
2. Perform
Upgrade on Test System
– SMA performs a test upgrade on your HEAT Archive
File offsite at our SMA facility (or on your own
test system). The test helps validate the data
conversion and
mitigate potential upgrade issues.
3. Perform
Standard Functionality Testing on Test Upgrade
Database
– SMA has developed a protocol for evaluating the
basic functionality of the test HEAT database.
4. Assist
with Production Upgrade
– Once planning and testing is complete, SMA’s HEAT certified technicians will assist you
with the installation of the HEAT upgrade on
your HEAT system.
5. Provide
Availability for Post Upgrade Assistance
– If any questions
or issues arise after the conversion, SMA technicians are
available to provide assistance with your questions.
